Commerce Newsletter Editor

Forbes Vetted is looking for a Newsletter Editor to join our rapidly growing team. This role will report into the Forbes Vetted Editorial team and will be tasked with managing the production, strategy and growth of our suite of commerce newsletters. You must have a great eye for product curation, be a clean copywriter and have experience growing newsletter reach and engagement.

The Forbes office is currently remote due to the pandemic. This position can be a fully remote opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Manage Forbes Vetted’s growing portfolio of commerce newsletters, including raising the bar on quality, curation, format and voice as well as reader engagement
• Oversee the strategy for growing our newsletter subscriber base and driving commerce revenue from our newsletters
• Work directly with the Forbes Vetted editorial team to curate the most compelling content and products for every send
• Work with the centralized newsletter team on special editions, cross-promotion, welcome and invite emails
• Collaborate with the data and analytics team on building our reporting dashboards and provide regular updates on the growth of key metrics, including affiliate revenue
• Lead the charge on personalization opportunities and tests to help improve engagement
• Take a forward-thinking approach on testing new formats, editions and newsletters

Experience:

• You should have 3-5 years experience working with editorial newsletters, preferably with some affiliate commerce component
• Demonstrated experience and interest in newsletters and reader conversion to purchase
• Ability to identify, write and edit compelling subject lines and newsletter copy to drive strong engagement
• Willing to use data to guide content decisions and methodical in testing ideas over and over again in order to achieve desired results
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong eye for organization
• Comfortable working in a fast paced environment and quick to learn processes
• Experience working in Photoshop is a plus but not a requirement
• A great sense of humor and willingness to help build a positive team culture
