Our engineering team is rapidly growing and we're working on some exciting and challenging projects across several of our development teams. We're looking for mid-level (Software Engineer II) engineers to join our diverse and fast-growing team!

Software Engineer II

  • Works on engineering initiatives that drive a larger feature set, while being careful to not create technical debt in the process.
  • Preemptively scans issue backlogs. Actions include but are not limited to: familiarizing themselves with pain points in the system, applying relevant labels and triaging, closing them via pull request or other means.
  • Is considerate of others on the team and supports other people in their work.
  • Works to become proficient in giving great reviews of their peer's work. This includes being respectful, thorough, thoughtful, flexible, and not pedantic.
  • Listens to the priorities and concerns of others and acknowledges differing perspectives. Anticipates others' reactions.
  • Experience: Typically requires 2 years of professional experience working as an engineer

Our Technology:

  • Most Importantly - we want folks who are hungry, humble, and smart - so if you don't have specific experience with our technology, but love to figure things out and working in a fast/dynamic environment, we'd love to hear from you!
  • TypeScript, including - but not limited to Express, Nest, React, Vue, GraphQL
  • Python, including - but not limited to Flask, FastAPI, Django, Pandas, SQLAlchemy
  • Persistence layers such as MySQL, DynamoDB, and Redis

Qualifications:

  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Engineering Degree or Code Bootcamp completion
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A strong focus on our customers, both internal and external
  • A dedication to the quality and ownership of your work product
  • Deep empathy and support for your teammates

Advanced & Nice-to-Have Qualifications (brownie points!):

  • Working knowledge of AWS products, such as SNS, SQS, Kinesis, Lambdas, and DMS
  • Kubernetes, Docker, AWS CodeBuild, Jenkins, Terraform
  • Database indexing experience, particularly with platforms such as ElasticSearch and Apache Solr
