About the Role:

As a member of our Machine Learning team at Medallion, you'll be responsible for developing and deploying state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms. You will own product development built on data analysis, modeling, and the associated technical infrastructure and workflows. Expect to achieve massive personal growth and ship features that make a meaningful impact on the healthcare system. All on a supportive and experienced team of engineers, PMs, and designers.

This role reports to one of our Engineering Managers and base compensation may land between $135,000-$175,000 depending on qualifications and experience. In addition to base salary, Medallion offers equity and benefits as part of the total compensation package. Many factors are considered when determining pay including: market data, geographic location, skills, qualifications, experience, and level.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement machine learning algorithms to solve complex problems
  • Implement models using industry standard AI frameworks/platforms
  • Validate and fine-tune third party models such as OpenAI, Amazon Textract
  • Gather, clean, and prepare large datasets for machine-learning models
  • Build and maintain machine learning pipelines that are robust, scalable, and efficient
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate machine learning solutions into production systems
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of machine learning models and make continuous improvements
  • Work on meaningful projects with business impact from your very first day.
  • Gain expertise across the stack ?" full-stack web, platforms and services, cloud infrastructure.
  • Work closely with senior engineers on technical architecture and project planning.
  • Write a lot of code :)

Skills and Requirements:

  • 2+ years of professional experience in software development, including 1 year or more in a ML role.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and techniques, including supervised learning, unsupervised learning, and reinforcement learning
  • Experience with Python and popular machine learning libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Have a strong technical foundation (CS and/or software engineering)
  • Are a fast and motivated learner
  • Are an excellent communicator ?" both verbally and in writing
