This role is part of the Data Engineering team within the Customer Organization, and we're seeking highly talented individuals to join and grow our team. This is the intersection where the product has to meet customer needs and create value.

Role & Responsibilities

The Integrations Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing integrations between the AIQ platform and external platforms, mainly via APIs. They build integrations to new platforms so that the Professional Services team can implement those APIs in production customer instances.

You will work hands-on with our technology stack and collaborate with several teams such as Customer Engagement, Field Engineering, Product and Engineering in order to deliver on all customer integrations requests. In this role, you will also plan and execute integration strategies, define and enable ongoing monitoring for support staff, and maintain as well as optimize your builds. Other responsibilities include:

  • Formulating strategies and designing architectures for systems integrations, as well as debugging and advising on possible architecture issues.
  • Owning and delivering on the customer request backlog.
  • Work with external vendors as needed to ensure successful execution of customer requests.
  • Working directly with customers to understand their integration needs, advise on various implementation options, and ensure that the resulting solution meets the requirements of both the customer and any third party systems.
  • Ensuring that best practices in integration processes are followed by the organization, and improving current systems integrations as needed.
  • Contributing with documentation and building our customer specific configuration knowledge base.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Information Management or similar
  • 6-8 years of software development experience
  • 3-4+ years in a role that involves working with and building APIs
  • Working knowledge of Python, Java, and/or Scala
  • Knowledge of integrations, development processes, and integration architectures
  • Experience with standard testing practices, such as writing unit tests
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts and decisions with non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong project management and organizational skills

Nice to have:

  • Experience using Tray.io or other iPaaS systems
  • Marketing technology industry and relevant vendor knowledge
