Front-end engineers at Cresta are responsible for building the interface components and libraries that power our multi-channel conversational AI products. As an early team member, you will also have the opportunity to make foundational technical decisions that shape the way Cresta's product teams build web applications and interact with the edge layer of our platform. We're about more than great visuals. We're a deeply customer-focused engineering team and enjoy digging into customer requests as much as we do defining patterns and implementing tools that allow our product teams to move 10x faster. What You'll Do:

    • Define, build, and maintain the foundation of Cresta's front-end ecosystem and culture including evangelizing best practices and creating tools to be used by all of Cresta's product engineering teams
    • Build UI components, libraries and SDKs that power Cresta's real-time agent assist and impact every Cresta user, whether they're an agent, team manager, or business lead
    • Ensure our libraries and SDKs are reliable, scalable, secure, and extensible
    • Define robust interfaces and abstractions to power Cresta's integrations with various external communications platforms
    • Be a subject matter expert on our business logic, architecture, and the core tech in our web stack

What We Look For:

    • A deep understanding of the modern front-end ecosystem and experience applying frameworks/tools (React.js, Redux, GraphQL, Webpack and Node.js) and patterns to complex, production web applications
    • Experience with event-driven architectures and mechanisms for client-side state management
    • Comfortable defining and building robust APIs with a strong understanding for different protocols like Websockets, GraphQL, REST, RPC frameworks, etc
    • Experience with database schema design and an understanding of query performance that translates to performant, scalable, and reactive products
    • Deep appreciation for building applications with observability as a first-class principle and familiarity with application performance monitoring
    • Is adept at clear, concise, well-organized written communication about their work
    • Enough confidence to have your ideas challenged without feeling like you're being challenged

Pluses:

    • You have experience building cross-platform applications using the Electron framework
    • You know how to programmatically navigate and interact with the DOM and have a deep understanding of how browser security works
    • You have built and deployed SDKs and UI component libraries and possess a deep understanding of the build/deploy toolchain (webpack, lerna, CI/CD, etc.)
