Our flagship product is a delightful health insurance that covers people in France, Belgium, and Spain.

⭐️ The Data team ⭐️

Being part of Alan's data team means you'll have a positive impact on people's health and wellbeing. We create insights to help our colleagues focus on what is most impactful. We build features and tools powered by data that directly help our members. Examples include: going deep into health consumption patterns, understanding our product usage, creating visibility to help our sales team perform, automating how we reimburse our members, building reminders that help our members stay healthy...

We believe in having a full stack approach. Each one of us contributes to all 3 aspects of the data spectrum (analytics, engineering, science). This encourages strong ownership and drives impact.

We own our infrastructure. We pride ourselves on a nimble data stack that gives us the flexibility we need. We're mainly using SQL, Python, R, Airflow, Snowflake, and Metabase. We build in-house tooling to organize our data and serve it to the rest of the company.

⭐️ Expected skills and abilities ⭐️

We are looking for all levels of seniority:

  • If you are at the beginning of your data journey, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of projects quickly and grow in a healthy environment.
  • The more experience you have (or gain once you join us), the broader the scope, size and complexity of projects you'll handle. You'll also have the opportunity to directly support the growth of other members of the team.

You would thrive at Alan if most of this sounds like you:

  • Passionate about owning ambitious problems and developing simple solutions for them
  • Experience or willingness to grow in all 3 aspects of the data spectrum (analytics, engineering, science) being specialized in one of these areas is good too!
  • Proficient in SQL, Python and/or R
  • Setting a high standard of rigor and precision for yourself, interested in your craft
  • Great listening and communication skills
  • Humble, kind, collaborative, and still willing to grow (no matter your seniority!)
  • Fluent and clear in English, both oral and written (no need to speak French!)
