About the Partnerships Team
The Partnerships team is focused on expanding the growth of our business by developing and growing supply, demand, and product partners throughout our marketplace. Our Demand partnerships team focuses on building out a world class portfolio of Demand Partners that bring high intent customers into our marketplace. Additionally, the Partnerships team works closely with different XFN partners in product, sales, success, marketing, etc. to design and execute targeted campaigns and experiments for new and existing professionals on Thumbtack.
About the Role
The Senior Client Partner, Demand Partnerships reports into the Sales organization, but has an indirect reporting line into the Partnerships team (Business Development). This role will serve as the tip of the spear in identifying and onboarding new Demand Partners across all "verticals' ' (Content, Social Media, News, etc), leveraging these partnerships to bring traffic and new users to Thumbtack. The Senior Client Partner will own and manage relationships with senior leaders across our Partnerships portfolio to drive incremental users and revenue for Thumbtack and our Partners. This role will partner cross functionally with Sales, Business Development, Operations, Product, Marketing, Finance, and their Partner Success Manager to target, "acquire", onboard, and grow top Demand Partners. This role will be critical in growing the user base and drive significant revenue to our business.
Responsibilities
- Own the end to end, full funnel "sales" process of bringing new Demand Partnerships to Thumbtack, including identifying, prospecting, negotiating contracts, onboarding, and retaining/growing these partnerships.
- Meeting and exceeding quarterly targets (Quota, OKRs) as outlined during goal setting.
- Manage partner relationships by setting strategic goals, KPIs, and initiatives for continued success
- Partner closely with the Partner Success Managers to ensure partners are successfully and meeting joint financial goals (ie revenue generated)
- Provide API and integration guidance with partners and internal stakeholders
- Work cross-functionally with product, sales, success, and marketing teams to drive continued GTM strategy with our partners
- Manage and proactively engage with Thumbtack's strategic portfolio of partners
- Partner with product and engineering teams on product roadmap to deepen partner integrations
What you'll need
- 5+ years of experience in Sales, Business Development / Partnerships, General Management, Management Consulting, or similar roles
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and deliver a customer-centric solution
- Experience managing a portfolio of accounts that met or exceeded quota or defined KPIs
- Ability to prosper in an ambiguous environment
- Salesforce or similar CRM experience is required
- Technology enthusiast, positively curious, and eager to build and learn
- Proven ability to manage, utilize, and prioritize your time and efforts
Bonus points if you have
- Experience working for a company offering services through an online Marketplace or in SaaS or Enterprise sales
- Experience selling to, or working with, Publishers, Content Creators, and/or business that operate on revenue share models
- Ability to work cross-functionally within an organization to drive results
- Understanding of API and technology tools
- Comfortable working in a highly entrepreneurial environment and building new processes from the ground up

For candidates living in the US, the expected salary + commissions On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for this role is currently $153,000 - $187,000. Actual offered OTE will vary and will be based on various factors, such as calibrated job level, qualifications, skills, competencies, proficiency for the role, and various factors that will be laid out in a commission plan.
