The Team

Job Summary

We're looking for an experienced sales professional looking to either make a transition or get their start in B2B software sales as an Inbound Business Development Representative (Inbound BDR) to join as a founding member of Cortex's BDR organization. The role exists to create inbound specialization to grow our business and create a launch-pad for professional growth at Cortex.


  • Always operate with bias to action
  • Effectively handle, follow up and convert inbound leads into qualified sales opportunities
  • Maintain internal speed to lead SLA's (< 1 hour)
  • Appropriately route leads and ensure database hygiene
  • Hit and exceed monthly quota
  • Support marketing events and campaigns by phone, email and linkedin
  • Collaborate closely with marketing to generate leads and qualified pipeline
  • Develop mastery of phone qualification and copywriting skills to generate interest in Cortex
  • Develop inbound qualification mastery
  • Work closely with your manager to improve BDR systems, tools and processes.
  • Develop mastery of prospecting tools: Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, LinkedIn Insights, Salesforce, Seamless AI and more

  • 1+ years of professional experience in a sales-related environment
  • Strong performance track record
  • Experience answering live phone conversations and calling warm leads

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The base pay for this role is $60,000. This role is eligible for variable pay, equity, and benefits.
