The Role:

As our Director, Talent Acquisition (APAC - based in India) you will be responsible for guiding and scaling the APAC team, driving our global recruiting strategy, ensuring our recruiting practices are grounded in data and insights, and setting the vision for the future. Operating as a trusted advisor and recruiting expert to Apollo leaders growing their APAC teams, you will advise, optimize and iterate on existing processes to enable all hiring teams to be successful.

As a key member of the People leadership team, you will employ analytical rigor, a dedication to an amazing candidate experience, inclusive hiring practices, and creative problem solving.

You will report to the VP, Talent Acquisition (interim: Chief People Officer) and work collaboratively with the leaders of the People team and the rest of the company to support our Talent Acquisition policies and programs in APAC, including India, the Philippines, and surrounding regions.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish yourself as a trusted and reliable partner for our R&D leaders and employees in APAC, and those building teams in APAC.
  • Create, steer, and evolve the APAC talent strategy that aligns with Apollo's priorities and that anticipates the needs of the business and growth.
  • Act as a key business partner to provide leadership with thought leadership on recruiting philosophy, process and tooling to meet business objectives.
  • Build, manage, coach, empower, and develop a high-performing geographically dispersed team hiring across multiple geographies.
  • Build a best-in-class recruiting engine and operating model complete with extensive knowledge base of all things sourcing, screening, and selecting the best candidates in the market.
  • Partner with People leadership to define and measure recruiting KPIs for the Talent team and consistently use a data-driven approach to drive initiatives, set appropriate metrics for the team, and to help execute on broader org-wide strategies.
  • Generate creative sourcing strategies and works closely with the team to develop the best approach for hiring world class talent.
  • Work to elevate Apollo's employment brand in the market.
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills.
  • While you will primarily be supporting our talent acquisition efforts for our APAC R&D teams, you will also be a trusted and reliable partner for our APAC employees, able to support and triage as needed to our People Business Partner teams.
  • Provide local business partnership and coaching to all levels of the organization - through headcount planning to exits
  • Assist in local execution of employee programs focused on culture development, performance management, learning and development, and pulse surveys.
  • Hire a team as needed
  • Company expert on employment regulation, total rewards, and compliance for R&D in India.
  • Experience using data to identify insights that drive action

Qualifications

  • +10 years of experience as an APAC Talent Acquisition leader; at least 8+ years of experience leading India-based talent acquisition functions
  • Experience recruiting from SaaS/Consumer organizations and/or experience scaling teams through Series C ?' public strongly preferred
  • Deep experience building and leading high performing and thriving Talent Acquisition teams
  • Exceptional interpersonal, teamwork, and organizational skills and ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
  • Comfortable partnering with senior leadership and management teams on hiring initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of the recruiting landscape, how to create an exceptional candidate experience, and ability to operationalize DEI in the talent acquisition process
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, including humility, empathy, and playfulness with the ability to break down complex concepts and clearly articulate them internally and externally.
  • Analytical mindset and a track record of building robust data-driven recruiting teams and cultures.
  • Strong track record of effectively influencing, communicating, and building strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
