Joining Collibra's Government Sales Engineering team:

As a Sales Engineer focused on our Government vertical, you will be responsible for all technical aspects of the sales cycle, as well as helping to ensure customer satisfaction. You will fill an essential and highly respected role in the sales organization at Collibra. Excellent listening and communication skills are a must. Security clearances are a plus.

Sales Engineers at Collibra are responsible for:

  • Conducting sales presentations and demos, both on site and via Zoom
  • Preparing and presenting product demonstrations
  • Identifying, evaluating, recommending and executing proof of concept opportunities
  • Preparing and providing input for technical sections of RFPs/ RFQs
  • Communicating with product management and sales enablement on issues identified from field observations and customer feedback

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field
  • 4+ years' experience working as a Sales Engineer, must be enterprise software
  • Proven track record of demonstrating software tool solutions and executing successful proof of concept plans to enterprise prospects
  • Knowledgeable of the challenges faced by Federal and State & Local government markets
  • Previous responsibilities for all technical aspects of the sales cycle (including POC)

  • A world class communicator, oral and written English.
  • Confident dispensing knowledge to a highly skilled and experienced audience, both C level and IT
  • Customer focused at all times and personally hold yourself accountable for the customer's success.
  • Someone with a growth mindset who sees challenges as learning opportunities.
  • Willing to travel up to 50% post-pandemic
  • Must be U.S. citizen, ideally based in DC/VA/MD corridor

Measuring Success:

Reporting to Collibra's Manager of Sales Engineering, measures of success are:

  • Within your first month, you will have completed at least one Collibra University learning path and be able to clearly articulate the value that the Collibra platform can provide
  • Within your second month, you will be able to explain/present Collibra's Operating Model and Platform Architecture
  • Within your third month, you will be able to demonstrate Collibra's platform with minimal support
