Quality Assurance Analyst

Brandwise is a Lakewood, Colorado-based Application Service Provider. Over the past 20 years we have become THE go-to for B2B technology in various wholesale industries. We have been recognized with multiple awards for innovation, excellence and industry support. We are looking for a QA Analyst to join our Scrum team, focused on testing and taking our products to the next level. You'll be an integral part of the Scrum team, working directly with the Product and Development Team.

*Please note we prefer candidates who currently reside in the state of Colorado, around the Denver Metro area but will consider remote employees.

Requirements

What you will be doing:

• Review/analyze requirements, designs and specifications and provide appropriate feedback, from the QA perspective, to the Product, Design and Development Teams.
• Participation in Scrum ceremonies such as Daily Standup, Backlog Refinement and Sprint Planning.
• Works with the Product Owner to form acceptance criteria and new user stories.
• Provides test scenarios/cases for story sizing and estimating.
• Provide QA feedback to the Developers during unit testing and perform Integration testing throughout the iteration.
• Create bugs in TFS as needed and communicate with Developers and Product early and often.
• Participate in the Iteration Review, showing the commitments made for the iteration and explaining any known issues.
• Work with other Stakeholders within the company as needed, providing guidance for new features and products.
• Identify causes for software defects and coach your Scrum team to improve quality.
• Work with peers in the QA department to create and spread software quality best practices across teams.

What you need to have:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience, preferably in a relevant field
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• 3+ years of testing and quality assurance experience

• Experience with testing web-based software, including backend testing of databases and APIs to verify test results and ensure appropriate data conditions exist to supplement your front-end testing work.
• Strong proficiency with typical software development tools, iOS, Android and multiple browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox) as well as understanding of test automation platforms.
• Strong proficiency with agile software development methodologies.
• Must have the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
