About this role

We are looking for a Staff Technical Program Manager to join the rapidly growing Data department at Faire. Technical Program Managers at Faire play a key role in a wide range of high-impact programs, improving the efficiency and productivity of the company, streamlining business initiatives, driving program management and delivering cross-functional objectives.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Technical Program Management you will be the founding member of the Data TPM team at Faire which has impact across all of Faire's Data Science, Machine Learning and Data Infrastructure efforts, and will play a critical role in defining the strategy and charter for the team. You will drive critical programs across the company and entire technical ecosystem aligned with our business priorities. You will set out goals for the organization and drive the programs to achieve them.

The ideal candidate is a highly organized and creative problem solver, who thrives in ambiguous environments with bias to action and a drive for business impact.

What you'll do

  • Lead complex, cross-functional multi-stage projects from inception to completion
  • Work with Data, Engineering, Product, Design, and other department leaders to develop detailed project plans and timelines
  • Coordinate cross-team project execution, identifying issues and risks, coordinating deliverables and dependencies, and tracking and communicating project status to multiple stakeholders
  • Contribute to annual and quarterly planning by providing inputs regarding program timelines and resource requirements to improve the quality and accuracy of the planning process
  • Work with Data and Engineering leadership to develop and implement a best-in-class Program Management framework that will allow the organization to scale its ability to deliver complex cross-functional projects

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project and program management experience, in a complex SaaS-based product development environment
  • Demonstrate end-to-end ownership and thought leadership for planning and managing cross-functional data projects and Machine Learning (ML) Platform development that supports Faire's product.
  • Establish best-in-class processes/framework from intake to delivery for delivering quality data to various business organizations, developers and the Data Science teams for ML models development
  • Responsible for development/improving of our data governance program with a focus on ensuring our infrastructure and products meets compliance requirements and adapts to future regulatory needs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to develop policies & processes for data retention and storage and translate those requirements into technical asks
  • Define and own what success looks like, metrics & measurement, rollout, cost-effective, scalable and sustainable operational plan & execution
  • Technical background in software development, with the ability to understand and contribute to technical Engineering discussions, as well as appropriately identify scope and timeline risks within software development projects
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse set of stakeholders, both technical and non-technical individuals

Salary Range

California / New York: the pay range for this role is $190,000 to $285,000 per year.

Colorado / Washington / New Jersey: the pay range for this role is $171,000 to $257,000 per year.

Actual base pay will be determined based on permissible factors such as transferable skills, work experience, market demands, and primary work location. The base pay range provided is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for equity and benefits.
