Team Overview:

The Community Success team's mission is to make Reddit the best place to start any community on the internet. We look carefully at the entire lifecycle all the way from community creation to an established and thriving destination on the platform. We work closely with the community support, i18n, moderation and governance teams to implement solutions for moderators and users to build features and solutions that increase a community's probability of success.

Role Description:

As a Staff Product Manager on the Community Success team, you will be responsible for building scalable systems that support Reddit's new and growing communities. This will require revamping the end to end experience for the Redditors/users who bring subreddits to life, from community creation, moderator onboarding and education to community discovery and distribution.

A key to success in this role is being able to build systems and features that unlock the potential of nascent communities. These systems will be used by moderators and core Reddit users that are critical to the success of a community and Reddit as a whole. You need to understand Reddit and how its communities work very well.

In this role, you will be entrusted to handle complex product launches end-to-end, lead a team of engineers and designers and coordinate with cross functional teams from community, governance, i18n and growth.

Responsibilities:

Contribute to the strategy and roadmap for Community Success on Reddit, and earn buy-in from executive leadership as well as the team
Collaborate with engineering and design to launch Community Success features, that accelerates the amount of thriving communities on Reddit
Understand Reddit and what makes communities and moderation successful. Form clear product insights on what needs to happen to increase the probability of success for communities. The lead your team to implement those insights to tangible product systems and features.
Partner with various cross-functional teams (Community, i18n, Growthin, Governance, Moderation, Communications, Policy, etc.) to get alignment and successfully launch high quality experiences that are well received from Reddit's user base.

Required Experience:

At least 6+ years of consumer product management experience
Has experience working in growth functions and has launched consumer facing products at scale
High Data fluency, knows SQL, and at a tactical (e.g. A/B testing) and strategic (e.g. feature estimations, sizing) level can be relied to inform crisp decisions
BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience

Preferred Experience::

Has worked on community building related projects in the past
Working on operational review systems at scale

The base pay range for this position is:
$206,700-$289,400 USD
