We are on the lookout for a People Operations & Programs Manager to join the team. This role will play a key part in building the HR function as we scale from ~120 person workforce to the next phase. As a key member of Magic Eden's People team, you will help ensure that our managers and individual contributors have the support they need to be as effective as possible in their roles. You will own important components of global HR operations, as well as play a key role in the implementation of programs, processes and tools to support the People side of Magic Eden. You won't be scared to get your hands dirty by jumping into different efforts on the People team. What You Will Do:

  • Leverage your expertise to collaborate closely with stakeholders to align HR initiatives with our overarching business objectives and drive impactful change
  • Own critical components of our global HR operations, including HRIS management and data utilization to enhance organizational effectiveness
  • Drive the evolution of our HR programs and processes (including onboarding/offboarding, benefits, internal events, engagement surveys, recognition, etc)
  • Recommend and execute HR policies and practices in compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Manage HRIS and maintain personnel records?" champion the utilization of HR data
  • Work closely with employees through multiple areas of People Ops (HR-Help Slack Channel, Onboarding/Offboarding, payroll/benefits issues)
  • Recommend best practices and execute policies and practices in a manner that maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Serve as a primary point of contact and trusted resource for employees, whether it's resolving HR-related queries on Slack channels or addressing benefits issues.
  • Roll up your sleeves and dive into various People Ops efforts, providing hands-on support where needed, and partner with cross-functional teams (Finance, Recruiting, Legal, etc)



What you bring:

  • 6+ years of experience in a People Operations or HR roles, preferably within a dynamic tech startup environment,
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced, high-growth environments
  • Strong understanding of US HR compliance requirements, and ability to easily ramp up on international HR compliance
  • Demonstrated proficiency in owning the management of HR systems (familiarity with Rippling strongly preferred)
  • Experience in administering employee benefits, coupled with a deep understanding of industry best practices
  • Excellent project management skills and demonstrated ability to drive processes and change effectively

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. The base salary range for this role is $120,000-$140,000. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Magic Eden's equity plan. Final offer amount will be at the company's sole discretion and determined by multiple factors, including years and depth of experience and expertise, location and other business considerations.
