This role

As a Frontend Architect, you'll sit at the intersection of Design, Product, and Engineering to lead the technology strategy and approach for our frontend architecture across mobile and web for Boulevard. You'll use your expertise in frontend architecture to influence the direction of frontend development.

We pride ourselves on the patience to build the best solution and not the easiest. We are looking for a highly proficient Frontend Architect who is passionate about evolving, maturing, and scaling frontend systems.

What you'll do here:

• Lead the technology strategy and approach for Front End Architecture across mobile and web for Boulevard
• Define practices to ensure application security across Web and Mobile platforms
• Evolve the front end architecture across Web and Mobile to enable efficient, accessible, secure, consistent, and maintainable customer and developer experiences
• Implement and configure modern front-end bundling and build solutions (such as webpack/vite/snowpack) to optimize performance and modularity
• Guide performance testing approach and implementation
• Evaluate backwards compatible frameworks and tools that can be integrated into existing applications
• Contribute to building pattern libraries, style guidelines, component libraries, coding conventions, etc.
• Architect observable systems and improve understanding of front-end adoption through data

What you'll need to thrive:

• Experience: At least 8+ years of relevant experience in Front End Development. Experience working in multiple front-end platforms, languages, and frameworks such as web, mobile, AngularJS, TypeScript, JavaScript, React and React Native. Broad knowledge of the latest FE trends, frameworks, and tooling
• Effective Solution Building: Desire to shape our engineering culture by coming up with ideas, tools, and infrastructure wherever you see a problem to be solved
• Strong Communicator: Top notch verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills across technical and non-technical teams
• Critical Thinking: Deconstruct a problem into its base components and illustrate steps to the desired outcomes
• Customers First: Use your creativity and technical expertise to enable exceptional, efficient, and secure customer experiences
• Team Player: Collaborative leadership and influence cross-functionally with design, product, and engineering
• Effective Time Management: Set priorities accordingly, focusing on enablement of business, product, and engineering goals
• Mentorship: Demonstrated experience enabling inclusive teams, mentoring engineers, and taking feedback to heart
• Knowledge of GraphQL is preferred
