cargo.one is the digital platform for freight forwarders to search, compare and book air freight capacities across airlines. We are proud to have a product our customers love to use, which has allowed us to win over 8,000 freight forwarders as customers in our first two years in the market.

After launching our product in Europe and North America and raising a Series B round with Bessemer and Index Ventures, cargo.one is expanding to Asia. Air cargo is a global market and we can only be successful if we are everywhere. As one of the largest and fastest growing air cargo markets, India is a top priority market for us.

As a Country Manager, you will be responsible for the launch and success of cargo.one India. You will get our product ready for the market, win our first customers and build a local team around you. You'll be an entrepreneur within cargo.one.

What you'll be doing:

  • You own the growth of cargo.one's marketplace in India.
  • Define and execute our strategy to win India for cargo.one, directly leading our demand-side sales team and working cross-functionally with our global teams.
  • Represent cargo.one as an expert in the Indian freight forwarding market.
  • Create a sense of identity and develop team rituals to direct and motivate the different functions working for the Indian market, fostering a high-performing but fun environment where people love coming to work.
  • Recruit, manage and develop a sales team distributed across the country.
  • Experiment, define and constantly iterate our sales processes and strategy, and establish sales targets for the team to drive performance.
  • Drive acquisition and retention activities in the region with our global marketing team.
  • Communicate the needs of Indian freight forwarders to the rest of the organization and work with our product team to expand our products and value proposition.
  • Build strong relationships with local stakeholders and work with our partnerships team to drive the growth of our partner airlines in the region and improve our operations and processes.

What you'll need:

  • You have 5+ years of experience working in a sales role with people responsibilities. Experience in the air freight and technology industries are a strong plus.
  • You have gained international experience, either working or studying abroad or working for a foreign company.
  • You are customer-centric and possess a holistic understanding of growth that goes beyond sales, having worked with other functions, such as marketing, product or partnerships.
  • You are driven and entrepreneurial, and feel comfortable making decisions in uncertain environments.
  • You are a quick learner, have great analytical skills and a structured way of thinking.
  • You are willing to roll up your sleeves and do what needs to be done.
  • You are native in Hindi and fluent in English.
  • You are based in Mumbai, Dehli or Bangalore.
