Contract Programmer/Writer - Work from Home

Are you a programmer/writer with experience documenting RESTful API's? Do you enjoy the challenge of working closely with programmers and software development teams? We may have the perfect opportunity for you! Our client, the developer of a leading eCommerce platform, is seeking multiple contract technical writers (up to 4) to create technical documentation, including concept documents, how-to guides, API reference documents, and sample code. In addition, the candidate will design and organize documentation sets for new features, and rewrite, edit, and proofread existing documents.

Contract Duration: Approximately 12 months - REMOTE

Required Qualifications for this position include:

• 3-5 years of experience writing and editing complex technical documentation for a programmer audience.
• Familiarity with APIs, specifically RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency translating complex concepts into understandable information.
• Experience working with and maintaining knowledge bases and documentation repositories.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Google Docs and Adobe Acrobat.

• Experience working with and maintaining knowledge bases and documentation repositories
• Expertise in Madcap Flare, MS Office, Google Docs and various text editing programs.
• Proficiency in Jira, Wiki, git, GitHub, Postman, and Content Management Systems
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JSON
