The Content Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing written content for OpenX across owned and earned, and will occasionally support sales-driven requests for collateral. This role will report to the Director of Public Relations and support OpenX's mission of creating the world's most innovative supply-side technology that delivers a fair, sustainable, and data-driven value exchange between consumers, advertisers, and publishers.

Responsibilities

    • Concept and deliver creative, outcome-oriented communications across owned, earned, and paid, including thought leadership, comment opportunities, talking points, and sales marketing materials.
    • Develop written content that promotes OpenX's content pillars and initiatives while highlighting our key in-market differentiators
    • Maintain a production schedule for content, inclusive of planned announcements and key coverage topics for top-tier media
    • Define opportunities to expand OpenX's thought leadership based on the intersection of what's relevant for target media outlets and important to advance for the brand
    • Own the OpenX blog content and calendar. Research industry trends and create informative and engaging blog posts. Optimize content for search engines (SEO) to improve organic visibility
    • Ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency across content

You Are

    • The go-to on your team for copywriting and grammar - you can spot a comma splice and define a run-on sentence
    • An experienced writer and editor with 5-7 years of experience creating impactful messaging in various formats
    • A data-driven storyteller with keen attention to detail - you can think on behalf of the brand and think like a journalist at the same time
    • Curious about the programmatic landscape
    • Someone who soaks up new information and nuance - and who thrives in an autonomous environment
    • Protective of brand voice even while writing for specific individuals
    • An effective collaborator with both internal and external partners
    • An expert at creating market-facing collateral and decks

Preferred

    • 2+ years programmatic or adtech experience
    • Experience working with journalists
$110,000 - $125,000 a year
Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance, New York Fair Chance Act, and any other state or local hiring regulations, we will consider for employment any qualified applicant, including those with arrest and conviction records, in a manner consistent with the applicable regulation.

OpenX is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For applicants in New York, New Jersey, California, and Colorado, the salary range is $110,000 - $125,500 per year + bonus + equity + benefits. A candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, and certifications. The salary range may differ in other states.
