Gong is a high-growth, privately-held business which completed a successful Series E fundraise in 2021 and is currently engaged in bringing its accounting practices to public company standards. The Manager of Technical Accounting is a role that reports to the Director of Technical Accounting. This position will assist in the preparation of the Company's accounting policies, address technical accounting challenges, prepare financial statements, and assist in building mature processes that are compliant with Sarbanes Oxley standards. This role will play a major role in the development of the Company's technical accounting and reporting function. We are in a phase of rapid growth, so this position requires a "hands-on" candidate who is flexible, has strong technical public company accounting skills, and is able to work well in a dynamic environment. This individual may have an opportunity to oversee direct reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop new policies as needed and analyze impact of changes to historical periods and related impact on financial disclosures
Responsible for the preparation of technical memos on complex technical accounting issues
Responsible for the preparation of financial statements, footnote disclosures, and management's discussion and analysis (MD&A) in support of the Company's efforts to mature its accounting and disclosure standards
Work cross-functionally with finance, legal, and IR as we mature quarterly reporting processes
Responsible for completion of our GAAP checklist
Involvement with equity and stock-based compensation accounting; responsible for statement of stockholder's equity preparation
Provide technical accounting advice to accounting department
Assist in the creation of effective internal controls as needed over financial reporting and equity accounting
Assist with other special projects as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
8+ years of combined experience in public accounting, including experience auditing publicly traded global corporations or corporate experience at global, publicly traded growth companies in technical accounting/reporting roles
Highly skilled and current knowledge of US GAAP
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical skills
A proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and to build strong working relationships
Demonstrable leadership ability and experience building and working with high-performing teams
Experience with financial systems including NetSuite, Workiva, Shareworks, and/or similar systems
