About the role

Robinhood is seeking a Senior or Lead level Oracle Financial Systems Engineer to join our Corporate Engineering team. As a senior member of the team, assist in optimization of Financial Systems including Oracle Financials Cloud and other 3rd party financial systems. This includes partnering with multi-functional teams (HR, Finance, Security, Legal, etc) to assist with any and all application integrations. You will work to ensure that the enterprise SaaS technology architecture and governance are aligned to strategic business initiatives, company goals, and the mission to democratize finance for all. This role is a great opportunity to join the team as a leader and help build out the enterprise applications function at Robinhood.

Your day-to-day will involve:

• Responsible for the scope, design, and delivery of technology solutions that enable the Finance and Accounting organization with best-in-class solution and delivery.
• Focused on business process using Oracle Financials Cloud and other 3rd party financial systems.
• Responsible for obtaining deep understanding of current state business process, identification of process and system gaps, demonstrating recommendations for proposed future state enablement through presentation and artifacts (diagrams, presentation, and gain consensus).
• Lead requirements gathering, facilitation of business process discussions, solution designs, documentation, application build, end-user testing, and ensuring post-launch support handoff and knowledge transfer is seamless.
• Key partner to the business in leading through critical issues and timely resolution.
• Partner with our managed service provider to proactively address problems and solve production issues, especially at month/quarter/year-end.
• Collaborate with external software vendors to solve business problems and issue resolution.
• Proactively stays abreast of new system features and functionality to improve business processes and champions change with stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into functional requirements and be responsible for the relationship with technical engineering teams to deliver the best possible integration and technical solutions in representing the business experience.
• Work with the business to ensure appropriate test plans and procedures are thorough to execute successful testing of the application design, represent acceptance criteria, and contain the evidence needed to capture due diligence and compliance.
• Experience leading small to medium technology projects and collaborating with team members and business partners for seamless delivery.
• Responsible for ensuring the end-user has complete understanding of new capabilities through facilitation of training, documentation, and ongoing availability to ensure full adoption of technology.
• Provide production support at times of critical issues and liaison with the business to obtain optimal resolution and service.

Some things we consider critical for this role:

• 8+ years in a Business Systems Analysis or as an Oracle Functional Consultant position supporting Finance & Accounting functions
• Proficient in Oracle Financials Cloud in the following modules (GL, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Tax, in a multi-entity global environment).
• Proficient in Oracle report writing capabilities - OTBI, Financial Statements, BI-Publisher.
• Highly effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor's Degree obtained with an emphasis in Accounting and Finance.
• Self-starter with the ability to overcome all obstacles and challenges with little to no supervision.
• Carries a "can do" attitude with a high level of energy and enthusiasm to help others.
• Bonus points:
• Oracle Cloud Certification in Finance modules
• Implementation knowledge of Coupa preferably at least one full end to end project
• Experience using Anaplan or similar planning, budgeting, and forecasting software
• Experience with programming/scripting languages (SQL, Python, Go, etc)
• Prior experience working with a fintech company
