Senior Financial Accountant

Your main responsibility will be working closely with our CFO on building out the Accounting and Finance team which will involve:

• Preparing and supporting with our monthly/quarterly reporting
• Building out some of our accounting functions from scratch
• Giving finance and accounting support to Product & Tech Teams
• Implement new systems and processes to help the finance function scale as the organisation grows
• Collaborating with our external tax advisors and accountants on all topics related to our reporting and financial statements

What we are looking for

• A university degree with a focus on Finance or Accounting or relevant professional experience instead
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working in an Accounting/Finance function ideally in a fast-paced environment (e.g. Startup or Big4 Audit firm)
• Profound knowledge in German GAAP/HGB including experience using DATEV and supporting the monthly reporting
• Experience with preparation of German regulatory and tax reporting
• Understanding of IFRS will be a plus
• You have excellent communication skills and motivate by building an environment of trust and collaboration
• Fluent in German: while we have an international team, speaking German would facilitate working with some of our external stakeholders such as auditors or tax accountants
