About the role
As our Head of Finance, you will be the founding hire for r2c's finance team. You will report to our VP Operations and your personal mission will be to refine how r2c defines and executes its financial strategy, working closely with the CEO and leadership team to accomplish this. You will work on a diverse set of problems, touching every aspect of the startup: from financial analysis and modeling to partnering with team leaders on budgets to scaling processes to participating in fundraising efforts.
You will thrive in this role if you are as good a player as you are a coach, and have a knack for building things, whether it's processes or teams or financial models. We're looking to you to build a strong finance team from the ground up, coaching that team to success. While it's nice if you have prior experience at a startup or tech company, we're more interested in someone who's comfortable rolling up their sleeves and has a bias towards action.

What you'll do
- Build a world-class finance team.
- Oversee accounting, bookkeeping, and other financial functions, collaborating with both in-house and external partners.
- Ensure effective internal controls and compliance with applicable regulatory laws / rules for financial and tax reporting; surface potential risk areas and drive mitigation.
- Partner across r2c to build forecasts, scale processes, and provide high-impact analysis that deliver strategic insights.
- Implement and improve scalable and consistent processes to enable operational excellence in business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Own financial forecasts, annual operating plan, budget tracking, and long range plans by partnering with various stakeholders.
You are ideal for this role if you have
- 5+ years of experience in finance roles with a Bachelor's Degree (MBA or CPA is a bonus!).
- Hands-on experience in FP&A - including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow modeling.
- Quantitative, data-driven mindset with ability to consume and process large amounts of information and own complicated models end-to-end.
- Strong sense of curiosity, tenacity and are self-motivated in solving unsolved problems and bringing clarity to areas of confusion.
- Track record of leading, growing, and developing high-performing teams, with a focus on hands-on development and coaching.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic, rapidly changing startup business as it scales at hyper-growth.
