As a GL Accountant, you'll play a key role in scaling the accounting function and have a meaningful impact. A successful accountant in this role is someone who is organized and can multitask to help the team meet its goals and deadlines; is a self-starter but unafraid to ask questions or make suggestions; and someone who works collaboratively and is solution oriented.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain GL accounts by preparing journal entries for closing periods
Prepare account reconciliations and analyze discrepancies with detailed explanations
Conduct flux analysis by identifying month-over-month and quarter-over-quarter variances and how it relates to the business
Facilitate proper internal control procedures that are in compliance with SOX
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvement
Assist with adhoc reporting

QUALIFICATIONS

BA/BS or equivalent in accounting or related field
2+ years of corporate accounting experience, preferably in SAAS or high growth technology company, Big 4 Public Accounting is a plus
CPA a plus
Superior written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
Quick learner, ability to identify issues and resolve problems by applying critical thinking to complex accounting issues
High level of organizational skills and ability to multitask to meet various deadlines
Experience and knowledge in U.S. GAAP and internal controls
Experience with Netsuite ERP preferred
Strong Excel skills
