About The Role

We are looking for a dynamic, results driven individual to join as our Director of Corporate Accounting to oversee core accounting activities for Rippling. Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, this role will be instrumental in enhancing our corporate accounting processes, maintaining and strengthening our internal controls, as well as managing accounting team members. You will partner and be the accounting point of contact with our legal and compliance, marketing, finance, and other business operations teams.The Accounting team is responsible for accurate financial reporting and compliance with financial policies and regulations. Our team is spread across the USA and India.Our diverse team consists of over 20 professionals spread across the United States and India, with more international locations coming soon. Over the last couple years, our team has grown exponentially to support a complex, multi-product company that operates globally.

What You Will Do

  • Lead a Corporate accounting team to execute applicable accounting processes and activities across the organization to ensure compliance with the U.S. GAAP, establish internal policies and support external audits
  • Areas of ownership include: close and financial reporting, CapEx/OpEx, equity, and technical accounting
  • Lead the team in day-to-day accounting and month-end close and reporting activities
  • Monthly review of financials, including period over period variance analysis
  • Establish documented controls to maintain the integrity of financial reporting and maintain a strong internal control environment
  • Coordinate with external auditors to support audit procedures
  • Work to develop, support, and improve the systems, policies, and procedures necessary to drive efficiency and provide meaningful financial data.
  • Identify, design and implement improvements with respect to business processes and financial reporting
  • Provide leadership required to grow and strengthen the Accounting team
  • Develop and mentor accounting staff to build their professional career and maximize potential
What You Will Need
  • Certified Public Accountant or Qualified Chartered Accountant
  • A minimum of 10 years progressively responsible accounting and finance experience and a minimum of 3 years in a leadership position managing teams of people with diverse skill sets
  • Proven experience in Corporate Accounting as well as optimizing Accounting & Finance processes
  • Ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to both technical and non-technical partner
  • Exceptional people manager skills, open to direction and collaborative work style and commitment to getting the job done
  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Subject matter expert technical knowledge of GAAP / SEC accounting and reporting requirements
  • Experience with ERP systems and scaling
  • Ability to work in a dynamic accounting department, successfully juggling multiple entities, projects and deliverables
  • Strong managerial, planning, organizational, decision-making, interpersonal, analytical, and lateral thinking skills
  • Experience in various other specialized accounting systems related to procure-to-pay, travel/expense, payroll, commissions, etc.
