About the role:

We're excited to invite passionate and motivated Cloud Engineers to join Say Technologies to help us democratize the way investors think about stock ownership.

In August of 2021, Robinhood acquired Say - a mission-driven company that's built an innovative communication platform that makes it easier for investors to exercise their ownership rights.

As a foundational team, Cloud Infrastructure owns and manages Say's cloud footprint across all the AWS accounts, regions, and environments.

The mission of this team is to set Say up for long-term security and scalability by redefining and operating the bottom-most layer of our stack allowing our products to be scalable, more secure, and reliable.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join an innovative and growing team within Robinhood, have a huge impact on their growth, and serve public companies, broker-dealers, and everyday investors. Working on the Say team at Robinhood, you'll help us systematically understand how public companies and their shareholders can interact and bring investors closer to their investments. Our clients use Say to build deeper relationships with their investors, and the world's fastest-growing brokers and investment platforms to make shareholder rights more accessible for their customers.

What you'll do day-to-day:

• Design large-scale systems and cloud infrastructure, making the right tradeoffs for risk and long-term maintainability.
• Proactively identify and drive optimizations and improvements to the infrastructure and systems.
• Mentor and train junior engineers in the team.
• Lead organization-wide collaboration for the team.

About you:

• 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• You have strong expertise in Kubernetes, Terraform, and the cloud infrastructure domain.
• You have extensive experience and knowledge in building large-scale distributed systems & infrastructure.
• You can demonstrate a history of providing firm-wide impact and self-sufficiency.
• You are a proven tech lead with experience planning and leading large projects with a long-term impact on a single system or team.
• You have led projects that involved organization-wide collaboration within the company.
• You have a strong technical grasp and have an excellent judgment on task prioritizations.
• You can solve complex engineering problems that deliver results that help the team achieve its objectives.
• You have a passion for mentoring junior engineers and improving engineering craftsmanship.
