Cloud Engineer Schwerpunkt Linux, Netzwerk und Security

As a Cloud Engineer with a focus on Linux, network and security, you will be a permanent member of our admin team at auxmoney.

It is a smaller team consisting of experienced admins, which is accompanied by an agile coach and reports directly to our Group Lead IT Operations. The team is solely responsible for topics such as the support and optimization of our UNIX / LINUX systems at AWS or the implementation of Continuous Integration and Delivery. Due to the central position of the team within the company, there is a close cooperation with all parts of IT. As part of the team, you will have the opportunity to develop and establish new solutions and optimize existing ways of working.

What you can expect:

• Together with your colleagues, you support and optimize our AWS infrastructure as well as the existing Linux system
• You develop and optimize cloud security solutions in terms of logging, monitoring and alerting as well as automate security controls and escalation processes
• You support the setup, operation, and securing of our Kubernetes clusters
• You improve the monitoring of our infrastructure and integrate new systems into our existing SIEM solution
• In close cooperation with our software developers, you are part of the design and implementation of processes for automated software distribution (Continuous Integration and Delivery)
• In case of potential security incidents you support by fast reaction and analysis
• You support the continuous development, improvement and protection of our infrastructure with your innovative ideas and technical know-how
• Maximum flexibility - you can work from our modern head office or nationwide from wherever works best for you

Your profile

• Several years of professional experience in operating Linux based server systems, preferably Debian / Ubuntu.
• Experience working with AWS security and compliance services such as CloudTrail, CloudWatch, AWS Config, Control Tower.
• Experience with setup and operation of Kubernetes (EKS).
• Experience in planning secure networks (VPC, VPN, etc.)
• Hands-on experience of AWS services and container technologies
• Experience with "infrastructure-as-code" as well as routine use of Ansible and Terraform
• Experience with (automated) software updates is a plus, but not a must-have
• Basic knowledge of MySQL or PostgreSQL database administration in RDS
• You are characterized by an analytical, detailed and solution-oriented mentality
• You are highly motivated and results-oriented and are willing to take on complex challenges.
• You communicate fluently in English and also possess very good German language skills
