The position

This is an exciting time to join Remote and make a personal difference in the global employment space as a Digital Illustrator, joining our Design team.

Design is at the forefront of everything we do. As a Digital Illustrator, As a Digital Illustrator, you'll collaborate with product designers, brand designers, marketers, video producers, and your design lead. Your illustrations will be used in our platform, mobile apps, landing pages, advertisements, blog posts, videos, social media posts, and much more, pushing Remote's brand and mission forward to transform the future of work.

What you need to be successful:

• A compelling portfolio that showcases aesthetic awareness, high-caliber drawing skills, and command of multiple illustration styles.
• A keen understanding of vector graphics creation, including mastery of the "Pen" tool.
• Capable of generating hand-drawn illustration concepts quickly and precisely.
• Strong aesthetic and conceptual skills.
• Ability to follow style guides, and adapt to multiple illustration styles.
• Self-starter who plans and executes end-to-end product illustration design with minimal support
• A kind, empathic and patient person.
• Someone who loves working with people and solving problems with them.
• One who cares deeply about diversity and inclusion.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• It's not required to have experience working remotely, but considered a plus.

In this role, you will:

• Prepare rough drafts according to illustration/design requirements.
• Combine hand-drawing and painting with digital media to create complete illustrations.
• Enhance our brand illustration style and actively look for ways to extend our storytelling reach.
• Use various colors, graphics and effects to better visualize each concept.
• Apply isometric techniques to add perspective to complex shapes.
• Work collaboratively with other members of our creative team to ensure a consistent, integrated brand perception.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team that includes marketers, creative directors, and product managers in order to create compelling illustrations.
• Brainstorm with the design team to come up with new ideas, patterns and styles.
• Stay up-to-date with new design techniques and software.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with animation or motion graphics
• Experience with 3D tools
• UI design

Remote Compensation Philosophy

Remote's Total Rewards philosophy is to ensure fair unbiased compensation and fair pay along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate. We do not agree to or encourage cheap-labour practices and therefore pay a minimum annual salary of USD 40,000 per year, in all locations throughout the world. Actual compensation may vary based upon geographical location, experience, and/or skill level. However, it will never be below our minimum global compensation mentioned.
