About the role

At Typeform, the Data team is making data our #1 asset. And we know how important that is- our product helps people collect information in the best way possible, by making the user experience as human and conversational as it can be.

That's why we need you. We're looking for a Web Analytics Manager to work within our Data Enablement team to manage the Tracking team of tracking specialists. We work closely with the Data Platform team to enable Data and other departments at Typeform (such as Product, Marketing, Customer Success and Software engineering) and provide them with the data they need to drive the business forward and push the product to the next level.

The role will directly manage members of the Tracking team and will be committed to people development, mentoring and support. The role will communicate and work with senior directors, managers and individual contributors across Typeform.

Experience in a dynamic start-up/scale-up environment is great, but equally important is experience of strong governance and scalable practices learnt from a blue-chip business.

Things you will do:

  • Advocate a healthy data culture throughout the organization
  • Define best practice approaches for capturing online user behavior, configuring web analytics technology, and guaranteeing data quality and efficient processes
  • Participate in projects kick-off activities to ensure necessary analytics tracking is set-up prior to site or campaign launches
  • Monitor and provide best practices for improvements of online conversions to optimize campaign success, in collaboration with Marketing and Product teams
  • Ensure all work in the team is prioritised clearly against the company strategy and team objectives
  • Work with stakeholders across multiple departments to align on priorities and data needs
  • Fulfil a strategic role on the Data Team's Leadership Team
  • Be accountable for tracking decisions and new initiatives planning
  • Ensure your team's BAU and project work is aligned with the data science, data analytics and other data enablement teams
  • Ensure the team delivers all required tracking on time, to the highest quality and in the most efficient way.
  • Enable the team to be on top of the newest technologies and practices with the market to proactively suggest improvements to our tracking infrastructure.
  • Keep deep understanding and view on our web analytics and tag management tools usage and contracts (Segment, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Amplitude).
  • Facilitate smooth collaboration and positive relationships between your team and other departments and foster an environment of mutual trust.
  • Ensure data capture complies with the highest legal expectations in a mindful and ethical way for our users in collaboration with our Legal department

  • Experience with front end and server side tracking concepts
  • Knowledge of cookie law and GDPR concepts impacting tracking
  • Experience with data flow in third party tools
  • Experience with SEM/SEO measurement methods
  • Lead and manage change
  • Support and inspire staff
  • Understand and interpret information for different audiences
  • Time and management skills
  • Identify individuals' strengths and areas for development to provide support and foster passion
