Our Behavioral Science team is seeking a Statistician to help Noom become a world-class institution in the science of behavior change. We are a dynamic, passionate group conducting clinical research with renowned academic and industry partners (such as Mt. Sinai, Harvard, Lifescan, and Novo Nordisk). Our goal is to change the world towards self-empowered preventive health, disease management and well-being for everyone, everywhere.

The statistician consultant will collaborate with the Behavioral Science team to design, implement, and analyze data for our clinical research studies. They will collaborate closely with the team to ensure accurate interpretation of clinical data and draft results summaries for dissemination to our cross-functional stakeholders. Ideally, they will also contribute HEOR expertise, analyzing both clinical research as well as B2B client data in order to evaluate Noom's cost effectiveness and clinical efficacy.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Conduct and summarize statistical analysis for clinical research studies
  • Consult on the conceptualization and design of upcoming clinical research, including conducting power analyses to determine appropriate sample sizes and incorporation of outcomes relevant to Health Economics and Outcomes Research
  • Review research protocols, study methodologies, and data analysis plans to ensure rigorous and comprehensive evaluation of intervention outcomes
  • Analyze data, assess treatment outcomes, and provide insights into cost effectiveness of interventions
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings, contributing statistical and HEOR expertise to guide decision-making and project direction
  • Conduct literature reviews in HEOR methodologies and/or outcomes to inform and build cost effectiveness models

What We're Looking For

  • Masters or PhD in statistics or a related field with a strong data emphasis
  • At least 3 years experience in a research and/or data science setting working on mixed modeling, HEOR, and/or advanced survey methods.
  • Strong communicator, with the ability to convey the results of complex data analysis to both academic and non-technical audiences

Base Salary

  • The US base salary range for this full-time position is $160,000 - $217,000.
  • Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting is based on Noom's estimate as of the date of publication and reflects the minimum and maximum target for the position across all US locations. The actual placement of the candidate within the range is based on factors including but not limited to relevant experience, assessment of functional skills and behavioral competencies, scope, and location. This range is not inclusive of any discretionary bonus or equity package.
