Spotify is looking for an extraordinary candidate to join the Marketing and Consumer Insights (MCI) team to support Spotify's Marketing organization in their pursuit of building a globally loved brand and bringing the next generation of fans to Spotify.

The primary duties of this role will be to lead the Marketing Analytics team that provides analytical support for our global Freemium Marketing team, leading the measurement and evaluation of our marketing activities to drive greater understanding on our ability to impact brand health and ensure we continuously improve the effectiveness of our marketing investments.
Success in this role will require the Marketing Analytics Lead to be a trusted advisor to our Freemium Marketing partners, ensuring the Marketing Analytics team focuses our efforts on the most value-added insights initiatives, while managing the technical and professional development of more junior members of the Marketing Analytics team.

What You'll Do

Partner with Marketing leadership in strategy development, goal setting and budget planning
Perform analyses on large sets of data to extract actionable insights that will drive decisions around our global marketing investments
Provide end to end campaign support, spanning from pre-campaign goal setting and measurement plan development, to in-campaign performance insights and optimization recommendations, to post-campaign evaluation and lessons learned
Define experimentation roadmap based on performance to identify new growth opportunities for our marketing investments
Communicate data-driven insights and recommendations to non-technical audiences, through clear visualizations and presentations
Lead a team of Data Scientists in MCIs pursuit of becoming a world class insights support team for our marketing partners
Partner with the other MCI leads and their teams on projects supporting Spotify's broader marketing organization

Who You Are

Intellectually curious, open-minded, and enjoy working in a fast changing environment
A natural communicator, who focuses just as much on the delivery and the "so what" of your insights, as you do on the technical craft of extracting them
Effective at building strong, influential relationships with colleagues and partners, with demonstrated success in delivering impactful insights to executives
8+ years of experience in a marketing analytics and/or data science role, with at least 2+ years of people management experience
Strong analytical skills, including analysis and modelling of big data using SQL, Python and/or R, statistics, A/B testing, and experimental design required
Experience building data visualizations and dashboards (e.g., Tableau or similar BI solution)
Comfortable working on a globally distributed team
