Summary of what impact this person will have on this team?

The Brand Content Strategist role will report to the VP, Marketing and focus on building top-of-funnel content strategy, lead the operational success of content and how we measure success, and execute a variety of media and creative services.

As the first Brand Content Strategist at dbt Labs, you will help establish thought leadership content strategy, operations, and execution. you will help facilitate top of funnel content to help the market understand why dbt Labs exists, what it offers, and for whom. This role will be a team player, working to build process across go-to-market teams, including working with our revenue marketing, field, and community teams.

In this role, you can expect to:

  • Lead thought leadership content strategy on tier 1 GTM programs
  • Manage dbt Labs corporate blog editorial calendar
  • Write for the corporate dbt Labs blog
  • Manage the strategy and operational foundation of our branded podcast, The Analytics Engineering podcast
  • Create an editorial calendar aligned to persona, ICP, and business goals that enables GTM teams to use for campaign and outbound
  • Work with our DX team to evaluate dbt user content that could work for net new top of funnel
  • Craft and build a central social media calendar

You are a good fit if you:

  • Have experience building and scaling an editorial content strategy
  • Understand integrated marketing and media mix strategies
  • Are a seasoned writer and communicator
  • Have experience managing editorial pitches, angles, and technical writing across teams
  • Have experience aligning to and/or informing a funnel
  • Believe that teamwork makes the dream work
  • Provides quality frameworks that inform and launch great process and work

You'll have an edge if:

  • Have B2B marketing experience
  • Have data and analytics industry experience
  • Have worked across digital media
  • Understand brand and performance marketing strategies and tactics

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary: $131k-$169k
