Engineering at Motorway:

Our Product and Engineering team is 119 people wide working together to build the best technology advanced platform for used cars transactions.

At Motorway we believe in having an organisational structure that is as simple and flat as possible, so everyone can contribute on a level playing field!

Our engineering team sits across 6 functionalities within our business. Customer Automation, Platform engineering, Design UX & Research, Dealer, Vehicle profiling and Fulfilment & Automation.

We firmly believe in small, agile, multi-disciplinary squads empowered to solve problems. Our cross-functional squads are working around those pillars to develop, create and shape a particular product/feature.

What you'll do

The Motorway engineering department is growing quickly and we're looking for an Agile Delivery Lead to help us as we build a world-class engineering team. We encourage teams to choose their own processes and to do whatever they need to do in order to deliver software that will transform an industry.

We want them to continuously learn and improve and hold true to the agile manifesto - and for you to help them as a servant leader to accomplish this. We're looking for someone who will challenge the status quo and innovate to help Motorway deliver software in new and better ways.

Responsibilities

• Agile processes - Guide the team's processes and practices, ensuring agile ceremonies are well facilitated and approaches are pragmatically adopted and refined
• Data & delivery ownership - Forecast and track delivery, radiating information and managing team and stakeholder expectations
• Continuous improvement - Use varying tools and techniques to identify, understand and drive improvements to productivity, quality and culture
• Servant Leadership - Lead by example, coaching and mentoring your teams' development and supporting them in identifying and removing risks and blockers
• Culture - Build an open, psychologically safe, learning culture to ensure you get the most from those around you
• Product execution - Write and refine user stories with the team and support prioritisation of backlogs based on user & business need

Requirements

• You have delivered multiple software projects of varying type and complexity, using agile and lean processes and practices (such as scrum and kanban) to guide you.
• You are proactive and pragmatic, hunting down the best approach or solution to any given challenge.
• You are enthusiastic, passionate about what you do and a great motivator of people.
• You have excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
• You are humble, emotionally intelligent and self aware, with the mindset of a servant leader.
• You enjoy collaborating with diverse personality types, are a great teammate and a
