About the team:

Robinhood is seeking a Chief of Staff to work directly with our VP of Customer Care & Platform Shared Services. The ideal candidate will bring experience from an Operations, Shared Services, or CX background. As the 'right hand' to the VP, you will have a comprehensive view of the business, working in close partnership with leaders across the organization to build effective operating routines that align to the company and department values and that set the team up to implement pivotal initiatives and deliver operational excellence. You will contribute in a big way to shaping the department's overall culture, business strategy, priorities and agenda.

The Chief of Staff will report directly into the VP of Customer Care & Platform Shared Services and be considered a member of the department's senior leadership team.

What you'll do day-to-day:

Setting the conditions for high performance:

  • Drive critical initiatives and own day to day operating routines that lead to strong execution (implement decision making frameworks, overseeing goal setting and grading, facilitating MORs and MBRs, partner syncs and demo days, etc.)
  • Assist in making key resourcing decisions and organizational design work
  • Ensure the team has a continued focus on top priorities and help facilitate effective internal communication of priorities across the department and the broader business collaborators

Building a results-oriented and inclusive culture:

  • Drive the agenda for and execution of Leadership meetings, All-hands meetings, and offsites
  • Build and own the "playbook" for running a team with high accountability + high autonomy (documenting and continuously refining the operating routines that drive a great associate experience and high quality work outputs)
  • Evaluate and implement an effective communication infrastructure to ensure relevant information is discoverable and consumable by employees both within the department and more broadly across the company
  • Prepare presentations for internal and external audiences, including supporting the creation of regular updates to the C team and at times to the Board of Directors

Run Special Projects:

  • Act as a sounding board and thought partner to the VP and the department leadership team, conduct research as necessary, and design and run problem solving and brainstorming sessions
  • Note: The person in this role may take on project management responsibilities for additional special projects as time allows

About you:

  • Passion for the Financial Services industry and its customers
  • A highly inclusive working style and a willingness to embrace diverse perspectives and collaborate across all levels of the organization
  • Strong relationship management and communication skills, with proven experience working cross-functionally and influencing a diverse group of collaborators
  • The willingness to experiment and iterate at a rapid pace
  • Ability to apply structure/frameworks to unstructured problems
  • Previous experience in a formal or informal capacity in a similar role is strongly preferred

We're looking for more growth-minded and collaborative people to be a part of our journey in democratizing finance for all. If you're ready to give 100% in helping us achieve our mission-we'd love to have you apply even if you feel unsure about whether you meet every single requirement in this posting. At Robinhood, we're looking for people invigorated by our mission, values, and drive to change the world, not just those who simply check off all the boxes.

Robinhood promotes diversity and provides equal opportunity for all applicants and employees. We are dedicated to building a company that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. We believe that the more inclusive we are, the better our work (and work environment) will be for everyone.
