Senior Business Analyst

As a Senior Business Analyst, you'll be solving complex problems in creative ways using data, helping Papaya in its mission to revolutionize the way people pay their bills.

What you will be doing:

• Developing data driven insights and solutions to address key business decisions
• Structuring ambiguous analytics business problems into achievable projects and metrics
• Executing or helping your team execute high value analytics projects. Examples include:
  • Deepening our understanding of customer segments, behaviors, cost of acquisition and lifetime value
  • Understanding the performance of new or improved features via A/B testing, and diving more deeply into observable customer behaviors to enable CX improvements
  • Structuring analytics approaches and success metrics for new businesses and initiatives
• Working closely with Data Engineers and other Business Analysts to identify, gather and analyze large amounts of data quickly and effectively, to evaluate and add structure to ambiguous business problems
• Engaging directly with a range of senior stakeholders to understand business needs, prioritize critical projects, and deliver actionable insights in a timely manner

We'd like to hear from candidates with:

• Strong business focus and acumen (think like a businessperson, then execute like an analyst)
• Strong intuition for customer needs and an ability to understand customer behavior using data
• Excellent communication skills and a strong ability to translate complicated and technical analytics into actionable recommendations
• Comfortable working with ambiguity and capable of quickly shifting priorities given business requirements
• Strong work ethic and high level of confidentiality

Must haves:

• 5+ years of Analytics, business finance, or business operations experience
• Strong proficiency in SQL, excel, and data modeling
• Strong experience within a Tech company
• Some experience with Product organizations. For example:
  • Familiarity with A/B testing frameworks and execution
  • Experience in supporting the launch of new initiatives or product features, using quantitative analysis, customer segmentation, etc

Bonus Points:

• Proficiency in Looker or another BI tool, and other analytics tools such as Amplitude, Snowflake, FiveTran, Salesforce, Google Analytics, etc
• Experience in Fintech and/or Healthtech
• A good understanding of standard Statistical methods (descriptive required, regression analysis)
