Through our two-sided tech marketplace, we connect hundreds of businesses in need of front-line workers with 1 million underemployed workers in local markets across the United States, within minutes. Wonolo recently raised $140M in growth funding which will continue to help us empower the in-demand workforce by democratizing access to flexible work, opportunities to learn new skills, a living wage, and comprehensive portable benefits and perks.

As a marketplace, Wonolo has two sides - demand, helping companies that need workers ("customers") and supply, helping workers that need jobs ("Wonoloers").

We're looking for our first Copywriter to join our growing Marketing team. Wonolo's mission is to bring fulfilling and flexible work to everyone, and you will be the one to help us tell that story and bring our mission to life. You'll be at the center of creating compelling, clear messaging to attract customers and Wonoloers that is inspiring and authentic to our brand. An ideal candidate will develop a holistic campaign strategy, from conceptualization to execution, across all user touchpoints. Your work will be evident through our website, landing pages, creative campaigns, apps, and more.

What you'll do:

    • Refine our brand tone & guidelines that resonates with our community of workers and customers
    • Write creative copy for a variety of campaigns, projects and platforms
    • Optimize and develop compelling copy for ad campaigns, website, our apps, video scripts, email campaigns, and more
    • Collaborate closely with our Content, Product Marketing, Paid Marketing, Lifecycle Marketing, and Product & Design teams
    • Develop a campaign strategy while also executing against that vision
    • Track all copy and design changes and sharing approved language with relevant teams
    • Ability to engage & influence a diverse group of audiences by understanding their needs

Who you are:

    • 5+ years of copywriting/editorial/communications experience, either with in-house team or agency, preferably within the tech space
    • Portfolio demonstrating your writing skills across brand, advertising, product, and social campaigns
    • Impeccable written and communication skills with the ability to envision design with the right copy
    • Skilled at translating complex concepts (in a highly regulated industry) into simple and clear messaging
    • Obsess over understanding our users and how their needs change along their journey
    • Experience with A/B and multivariate testing for copy Experience of working in a marketplace with varying audience segments and adjusting tone & styles
    • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and ability to meet deadlines on copy deliverables.
    • You demonstrate a substantial commitment to advancing representation and inclusion
