Content Lead

We need a Content Leader for a new technology and sports project, with a strong focus on the Mexican League. The ideal candidate must have the following characteristics:

What the editor will do on a daily basis:

Will coordinate a team of freelance copywriters who will develop content in different formats to feed the blog and social networks of sports news with a focus on Fantasy Football.
You will work on the development of two types of content: perennial, focused on creating long-term value; and topical, focused on generating engagement in the community.
Responsible for developing the content strategy.
Will work with the Performance team, and with the Marketing and Social Media teams to plan the content themes.
Ensure the high quality of the content, the correct use of language and the correct application of tags, titles, links, and other SEO elements.
Responsible for the publication and management of content in the CMS, either directly, or delegating it to the team's editors.
He/she must ensure that the contents are published correctly and in a timely manner.

Requirements Desirable:

• +3 years of experience as a content creator and +2 years managing digital content teams.
• Knowledge of project management. Ability to carry out complex long-term projects, meet goals, and manage control panels.
• Must have knowledge and passion for sports, with a special focus on Mexican soccer.
• Good writing and grammar skills. Ability to write articles on a regular basis.
• Knowledge of SEO and content strategy to generate traffic.
• Predisposition to work irregular hours by having dependence on sporting events.

Desirable:

• Experience working with Contentful, Webflow or other CMS type platforms.
• Analytical profile. Ability to work with results orientation.
