As a Technical Lead at 1upHealth, you will be joining one of our engineering teams focused on improving the accessibility of health care data. Whether you join our FHIR API team focused on building our industry-leading FHIR server to provide records for millions of patients, our Provider App team building branded apps to support clinical decision making and identify gaps in care, or our Patient App team building consumer products that allow patients to unlock their own medical records, you will have a huge impact on our mission to unlock health data, empower digital transformation in healthcare and improve industry outcomes.

In this role, you will get to

Develop software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; and following the software development lifecycle
Demonstrate and document solutions by developing documentation, code comments, and clear code
Prepare and participate in software design discussions and code reviews
Manage individual priorities and deliverables
Help to drive improvement in operations by conducting systems analysis and identifying potential changes in policies and procedures
Provide mentorship to others on the team, participate in architectural discussions, and deploy features regularly

We are looking for people who have

5+ years experience developing commercial web applications
Proficiency in Node.js (experience with Express preferred), HTML/CSS, React.js, Python, SQL
Proven experience implementing serverless and/or microservices architectures in a cloud based environment; AWS preferred
Understanding of both relational and noSQL database technologies and architectures
Knowledge of agile development practices
Proactive verbal and written communication skills when interacting with team members
Knowledge and experience with digital healthcare technologies and data standards such as HL7 FHIR is a plus
