RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Technical roadmap development and review on all projects
  • Definition and execution of tool development planning
  • Support for the wider technical team on projects
  • Risk identification and mitigation
  • Opportunities for development and training
  • Review of opportunities and future projects
  • Reporting on progress to senior stakeholders and setting targets for the team

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED

  • 5+ years at technical director level
  • 2 games shipped in this role on multiple console platforms
  • A full understanding of modern software development practices.
  • Exceptional coding skills in C++ / C#
  • Experience with performing code reviews and setting coding standards.
  • Advanced knowledge of modern rendering techniques and API's.
  • Advanced knowledge of optimisation and multi-threading, particularly on console

SKILLS OR INTERESTS CONSIDERED A BONUS (NOT REQUIRED TO APPLY)

  • Advanced knowledge of Unity / UE4, especially at engine code level.
  • Advanced knowledge of networking, P2P hosting and client - server architecture.
  • Advanced knowledge of build pipelines, CI software (Team City / Jenkins).
  • Advanced knowledge of asset creation pipelines.

Double Eleven Limited is a full-service publisher and developer, with our head office located in Middlesbrough and a second office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Since becoming an independent publisher, Double Eleven has focused on bringing great games to new platforms and audiences including titles from the PixelJunk series, Prison Architect, and Goat Simulator. Double Eleven has also developed a strong reputation for technical skill, working on external titles such as the Lego Harry Potter series (PS4/XB1/Switch), Limbo (Vita) Crackdown 3 (Windows 10) and most recently brought Minecraft Dungeons (Switch, PS4 & Xbox One) to players around the world in partnership with Mojang and Microsoft.
