About the team:

Robinhood is building out a modern Application Security team, and we are seeking strong Software Engineers who are comfortable with building libraries and frameworks to eliminate classes of vulnerability at large. The team is responsible for securing Robinhood products and applications.

What you'll do day-to-day:

  • Develop safe libraries to eliminate classes of vulnerabilities
  • Harden existing frameworks to embed security capabilities
  • Standardize language (Go/Python) usage patterns to enable secure usage of libraries
  • Develop technical solutions to mitigate impacts of security vulnerabilities
  • Refactor, deploy and rollout safe libraries and frameworks across the code repository
  • Work with other security engineers to create mitigation strategy for security gaps or vulnerabilities

About you:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field or equivalent practical experience
  • 2+ years of experience working in Software Engineering space, with a passion to security
  • Proficient in Go or Python
  • Experience with Library/API/Framework development
  • Experience with large scale code refactoring
  • Experience with building defense-in-depth security mechanisms into products and applications
