Genesis10 is seeking a Software Engineer III for a leading company in San Diego, CA. This is a remote 3-month contract role.
Job Description:
The Software Engineer III will be designing and developing applications to help improve the lives of people with diabetes. The Software Engineer III will be joining a well-established company that's on an upward growth trajectory.
Job Duties:
Design and build applications
Implement requirements
Write and update design documents
Follow internal software development procedures to comply with medical regulations
Interface with software test to ensure high quality product
Develop automated unit and integration tests
Participate in design, code, and test reviews
Perform other duties as assigned
Design, develop, implement, test, and maintain business and computer applications software or specialized utility programs including mainframe and client/server applications, and major enhancement of existing systems.
Fine-tune and improve a variety of sophisticated software implementation projects.
Gather and analyze system requirements, document specifications, and develop software solutions to meet client needs and data.
Analyze and review enhancement requests and specifications Implement system software and customize to client requirements.
Prepare the detailed software specifications and test plans.
Code new programs to client ' s specifications and create test data for testing.
Modify existing programs to new standards and conduct unit testing of developed programs.
Create migration packages for system testing, user testing, and implementation.
Provide quality assurance reviews.
Perform post-implementation validation of software and resolve any bugs found during testing.
Requirements:
5-7 years' experience required.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related, or equivalent mobile development industry experience.
A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design large systems software design and development experience.
Experience performing in-depth troubleshooting and unit testing with both new and legacy production systems experience in programming and experience with problem diagnosis and resolution.
Mobile SW development capabilities
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
High degree of diligence in documentation, testing, and coding
Preferred Experience:
Statistics/math background
Experience working in Agile teams
Experience using tools such as Jira and Confluence
Experience using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, Github Actions
Experience with version control tools such as Git, Github, Gitlab, and Bitbucket
Experience writing automated unit/integration/UI tests using for example, JUnit, Mockito, XCTest, XCUITest, etc
Knowledge of design patterns such as MVC, MVVM, MVP
Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
