Secmation is looking for an experienced Software Engineer with C/C++ and embedded systems experience to join our growing product development team. In this position, you would be working on and responsible for hands-on development of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) products that incorporate advanced embedded and wireless cybersecurity technologies, extend the state-of-the-art in IIoT cybersecurity, and have both Commercial and Defense applications. This is a chance to learn the world of cybersecurity software development and work on cutting edge technology with a talented team of developers.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

• S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
• 3+ years professional software development experience
• Strong C/C++ development capability
• Software engineering skills including software architecture and object-oriented development with software developer best practices including configuration control.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and execute complex development tasks with limited supervision
• Good written and verbal communications skills adequate to prepare software documentation, participate in technical proposal development, and work with external customers

Desired Skills:

• MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Experience in embedded software development in systems programming, design, coding, debugging, testing and troubleshooting targeting ARM or similar architectures and various platforms
• Experience with wireless communications, protocols, and security.
• Existing cyber security background and professional security certification (Security+, CISSP, or similar)
• Experience in software product development using secure software development methods.
• Current or previous security clearance

Additional Requirements:

• U.S. citizenship required. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance due to contractual requirements.

.This is a full-time position. This position is an on-site opportunity. Our headquarters is in Raleigh, North Carolina. Workdays and hours may vary based on project needs.
