The backend engineering team's support all global e-commerce, marketplace, selling, and consumer platforms. The Global Pricing Team (currently on the search for a Senior Engineer), is working on ways to improve our post-checkout process for our international marketplaces. Including price correctness, settlements, global price consistency, and price reporting - as well as reflecting correct taxes, fees, duties, etc. The work they handle can be complicated and complex where small changes have a big impact. We're looking for people with clear attention to detail, the ability to mitigate risk, and the mindset to approach a problem without knowing much about it with the skillset to prove through evidence that they are making the right decisions.

We are looking for:

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, backend (Preferred languages: Ruby and/or Golang)
• Someone interested in making a large impact on real-world business problems
• Past experience with Payment, Pricing, Checkout, or other related teams is highly preferred (price correctness, settlements, global price consistency, currency conversions, price reporting, and reflecting correct taxes, fees, duties)
• A quick learner, a self-starter, able to work autonomously, and you're willing (and able) to handle the pressures of an increasing level of responsibility
• Someone interested in joining a new team who can handle ambiguous requirements and grow within the department
• Attention to detail and managing risk / dealing with risk
• Aspire to grow as a person, as a teammate, and as an engineer, and help others grow
• BS degree preferred
• Bonus: Experience in e-commerce or marketplace
