Senior Software Engineer

LevitasBio is advancing science and human health by providing researchers with a new and powerful method of cellular analysis. Our disruptive levitation technology overcomes the current technological limitation of cellular processing by providing a label-free, simple, and gentle method of isolating specific cell populations.

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our innovative and passionate R&D team developing instrument control, imaging analysis and visualization applications for the world's first label-free cell separation platform LeviCell.

Duties

• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team of engineers and scientists, including outsourced developers, to advance the company's research and development and to achieve commercial goals.
• Lead the software architecture design and implementation with latest Microsoft desktop, mobile and cloud technology.
• Drive and improve the quality and performance of LevitasBio's software products.
• Lead or participate in every phase of the software development life cycle: specify, design, implement, test, and release.
• Collaborate with other team members to develop and protype new technologies and product concepts.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in Engineering or Science.
• 8+ year experience in object-oriented software development including specification, design, implementation and testing.
• 5+ years of coding experience with C#/C++, .Net Framework technologies: WinForms, WPF, WinUI, MVVM, and IronPython.
• 3+ years UX/UI development experience.
• Working experience with interfacing hardware devices.
• Understanding of DevOps concepts.
• Highly motivated, independent self-starter with sense of ownership and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with other cross-functional team members.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must enjoy and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be eligible to work in the USA.
• Must be able to be on-site when needed.

Location

50% Remote; 50% Onsite (Menlo Park HQ)
