About This Role:

We are looking for a web development manager to be responsible for leading a team of web developers. You will be joining a large team of diverse skills and experience and the job requires a resourceful and highly motivated individual who is experienced in taking responsibility for the leadership and development of team members and ownership of key processes and improvement initiatives.

What You Will Do:

• Lead the development team to build fully functional and best-in-class websites and applications based on requirements, design specifications, and usability expectations
• Serve as a motivating supervisor valuing agile collaboration, listening, attention to detail, ownership, accountability, and risk management
• Support project management activities including scoping new projects, manage intake forms, setting goals and timelines, budget, and personnel to meet project and company-specific performance expectations
• Create, support, and maintain functional and technical requirements as well as other business and project-based documentation
• Partner with the team to set and enforce coding standards and help drive strategy and the technical direction of the project in close collaboration with other project leadership
• Support the gathering of business requirements to design and develop landing pages on the web
• Evaluate designs, wireframes, and other design assets during the design and user experience phase for potential development issues; flag data model and/or feasibility challenges as needed
• Ensure site appearance by partnering with the Design team in developing and enforcing branding, content, and display standards
• Ensure site accessibility and compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
• Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and standards
• Cultivate a culture of learning, where developers continue to grow
• Manage our Design and Production agency relationship

What You Will Bring:

• 3+ years of managerial experience and a minimum of 8+ years of hands-on experience as a web engineer supporting enterprise-grade SaaS solutions
• Ability to communicate technical solutions to non-technical audiences
• Experience with UI design and APIs on top of application databases
• Self-motivator with the ability to balance multiple projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of search analytics, optimization, and tuning best practices
• Fluent in user-centered design best practices
• Knowledge of Section 508, Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, and U.S. Web Design System
• Understanding of HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, React, CMS.
