The API and Developer Platform team is chartered to build APIs, tools, frameworks, an app marketplace, and an ecosystem for external developers to build, publish and monetize applications in Clari. We are looking for Senior Software Engineers (Full stack) with a passion for building great products. This person will design and implement features across the full stack, along with building backend frameworks, that will delight third-party developers and Clari users alike. The responsibility of this role also extends to improving the performance, observability, and reliability of our products as we rapidly scale our product and organization.

We are 100% cloud-native and build our product using reliable tools and technologies that our team knows and trusts, including Java, JavaScript, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and AWS. Expertise in these areas is a huge plus, but having familiarity with common web languages (Such as Python or Ruby) and other databases are fine substitutes.

In this role, you'll have an opportunity to make a big impact in Clari by building products of very high value to customers, evolving the technology stack to support the next phase of company growth by introducing and improving engineering tooling, best practices, and processes.

This is a fully remote opportunity and can be worked from any location in the United States.

Responsibilities

Design and build features from end to end across both backend and frontend
Collaborate with technical leads, architects, product managers, and other engineers to design and build products and frameworks that users love
Shape and implement the technical strategy and roadmap for Clari's product, services, and systems
Identify friction points in development processes and help overcome them
Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack, and influence efforts to uplevel the observability and reliability of the overall system
Shape the future of engineering across Clari by evangelizing best practices, improving standards, and guiding teams towards achieving their fullest potential
Help and mentor engineers earlier in their careers to expand their technical and professional skills
Lead by example and help foster collaborative and inclusive teams

Qualifications

4+ years of experience building impactful large-scale products or systems using Java or other object-oriented languages
Experience building frontend and backend for products that customers use and value
Demonstrated experience in relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis
Experience designing and building highly-scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems at enterprise scale with well-designed APIs, data models, and efficient algorithms
Experience working across engineering teams and explaining complex technical concepts to designers, support, and other engineers
