Senior Frontend Engineer

At Truework we are hyper-focused on building products that enable businesses and consumers to regain control over how their sensitive information is shared online. Our platform and services empower lenders to complete verifications quickly and accurately while enabling organizations to automate the verification process and ensure the privacy of their employees' personal data. On the consumer side, we are giving employees unprecedented visibility into how their professional information is shared between third parties such as banks, mortgage lenders and employers. We believe increasing data transparency and returning data controls to the consumer are two crucial steps toward improving the health and safety of the internet as we know it.

We are excited to add an experienced Software Engineer to our team! Our team is building integrations and APIs that connect payroll companies to consumers, lenders and employers at a scale not yet seen in the marketplace. There's a ton of interesting complexity and problems we need to solve around verifications, and our software engineers are at the forefront of changing the space.

We're blazing the financial identity trail. We're creating a new category and building new products so consumers can retake control of their financial and identity data online. We're a growing team where everyone has a huge impact on what we're able to ship.

At Truework, this means you will work on and impact:

• Work directly with the product and design team to define and implement new features
• Work with our sales team to build and integrate tools that help grow our acquisition channels
• Anticipate and develop methods of scaling our front end infrastructure
• Expand and maintain our unified component library, design system, and various open source libraries
• Understand when and how to run UI tests

Must have:

• 3+ years of React experience and a deep understanding of the architecture of modern client-side React applications
• 5+ years of JavaScript experience, and at least some experience with TypeScript
• Understanding of modern build tooling and frameworks like Webpack, Vite, Next.js and others
• Prior experience working with component libraries or design teams in user-facing applications

Nice to have:

• Experience or interest in modern Python and associated tooling
• Experience or interest in AWS and Terraform
• Interest in leading a team, and mentoring more junior engineers
• A desire to keep up with modern best practices in web development

What Projects/Initiatives you'll be working on:

• Truework.js is our forward deployed JavaScript widget for our customers to integrate Truework Financial Identity services into their platforms, a lot like if you've ever used Stripe or Plaid. There's lots of interesting complexity and problems to solve around the various types of verification methods we provide, whether connecting to payroll systems or parsing uploaded paystubs.
