Summary

We're looking for a senior backend engineer to join our Orders team. We want to enable buyers and sellers to both buy and sell on the platform with ease. You will work on a backend engineering team responsible for building foundational services to enhance our processing capability. You can build mission critical, highly scalable, and reliable distributed systems. Many of the problems we face in the Orders team requires cross functional effort to execute. An ideal candidate should have experience in leading large cross-team efforts, experience in platformization of a product, and the ability to think creatively to solve hard problems.

Role

• Define and execute vision for evolving the order processing state machine.
• Own and innovate the core functional areas of order management infrastructure. Improve storage and business logic layers. Extract customer facing APIs from processing APIs.
• Design and implement components to support features.
• Maintain existing featureset and improve reliability.
• Collaborate with other engineers to achieve new features and increased reliability.

Requirements

• CS degree or equivalent experience
• Proven experience as a software engineer working in areas of backend engineering
• Positive & constructive attitude

Plus

• Prior experience with distributed systems
• Experience coding in Golang
• Experience with NoSQL databases
