Senior Back-End Developer

Streamline Media Group is a global company with teams in North America, Europe, and Asia. We are looking at self-motivated and energetic team players to join our growing development team. While Streamline is primarily known for working on games, we actually also produce our own in-house tools such as Streamframe and provide development for non-game partners.
We are hiring a mid-to-senior level backend developer for our platform team. This is a fast-paced role on a nimble, and innovative team that focuses on results over perfection.

• Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging
• Write clean code to develop functional web applications
• Collaborate with Front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server side logic
• Gather and address technical and design requirements
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Development of backend features with an emphasis on quality, performance, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with the teams to deliver great digital projects, on time and on specifications.
• Ownership of DevOps strategy and infrastructure. Make recommendations and implement improvements based on current usage and future demand

Requirements

• 5+ years of industry experience writing high-quality code in a collaborative environment.
• In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development and deployment)
• Senior-level experience with JavaScript (NodeJS), PHP, Python, and/or similar languages.
• Hands-on experience with a variety of GCP and AWS tools.
• Extensive experience with Git and version control.
• Serverless experience via Google Cloud Functions, AWS Lambda, etc.
• Excellent analytical and time management skills
• Teamwork skills with a problem-solving attitude
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Pluses

• Experience with developing scalable platforms with relational databases like Postgres, configuration/synchronization services, and advanced cache stores like Redis.
• Experience with modern product development practices, including software testing (e.g. unit testing, regression testing).
• Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform and/or Firebase.
