In the UK ?5.2 billion is locked up in traditional deposit schemes that offer a poor experience for everyone. Our vision is to change that and make every rental experience positive for landlords, agents, and tenants.

Our solution allows tenants to secure a new home with a small check-in fee instead of paying for a costly deposit, whilst giving landlords up to double the protection of traditional deposits.

Over the last 5 years, we've helped over 30,000 tenants save ?25 million in upfront costs and provided increased rental protection on 2,000 properties. As well as improving our core product, we're identifying, testing and launching new innovations to make every rental experience a positive one.

About the role

Reporting to our CTO, Bartosz you'll be working on our core product used by tenants, landlords and agents to manage their tenancies. You'll focus on our frontend development, with an eye for design and creating great user experiences.

We're a small company so you work with people across all functions and levels of the business. You'll have a chance to learn a lot about engineering and every detail of growing a business.

• Collaborate with the team and help to decide how to improve our product
• Improve the way we work, iterate on the process and tools to make sure we take advantage of best practices and technology
• Iterate and optimise products based on feedback and data analytics
• Take ownership of your projects by designing, building, maintaining and iterating new features and new products

About the tech

We host our infrastructure on AWS, core application is written in python/Django. It is supported by a event-driven microservices written in typescript/node. We use vue.js on frontend and build an internal design system. CI/CD pipeline configured on CircleCI, using Terraform to define infrastructure. We use snowflake for the data warehouse, looker as BI tool, airflow and stitch for ETL. We do not require candidates to have experience in these specific technologies, as long as you are willing to adapt to the tech stack we use.

About you

• You'll be a mid-level engineer with experience in our core frontend tech
• Experience working in a small team and a start-up environment is preferred
• Creative problem solver who can understand the commercial impact when proposing a technical solution
