Freelancer Senior Software Engineer

Your responsibilities

• Support for a minimum period of 2 months to support us with platform migration.
• Providing core services and high quality solutions for a large scale online platform.
• Integrating externally developed components into existing application environments.
• Together with the rest of the team, setting standards, establishing guidelines and sharing best practices in order to ensure stable solutions for our customers.

Your profile

• Delivery experience with Java, Springboot, Microservices, JPA (experience with developing RESTful web-services with Golang or other languages is a plus).
• Experience with frameworks such as Springboot and strong familiarity with microservices architecture and design patterns.
• Familiarity with relational databases like MySQL and also with NoSql MongoDB, Redis etc.
• Hands-on experience in analysis, design, coding, and implementation of complex, custom-built applications.
• Exposure to CI/CD using Gitlab pipelines or Jenkins preferred (Azure pipelines knowledge is a huge plus).
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes is required.
• Broad knowledge of web standards (REST, OAuth, SSL etc.).
• Understand architecture requirements and ensure effective design, development and maintenance of multiple microservices (e.g. Java Springboot based) deployed in the cloud within containers consuming data stored in relational as well as NoSQL databases.
• The microservices shall expose APIs which allow ease of integration with a variety of client apps.
• Develop communication patterns between microservices that are efficient, lightweight and secured using Kafka (or Apache Pulsar).
• Debugging issues on a live setup.
• Create test cases and technical documentation.
• Maintain a high level of code quality and consistency by adhering to and enhancing the coding standards, design methodology and programming practices.
